What is softball?

Softball is a variant of baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. It was invented in 1887 in Chicago, Illinois, United States as an indoor game. Baseball is a sport that is played between only 9 players. It’s a game with a lot of physical movement and thinking because you need to be able to watch the batter, know how and where to throw the ball, run for the ball, and pay a lot of attention . It’s also very popular and a lot of people from all around the world watch it.

Should Softball Become A National League?

I think there should be a softball major league because i’ts not fair for girls to be playing like a beast and making all their efforts to attend to every games, every practice, doing their best, sweating like crazy while males doing the same thing but making it to the major league and girls not. Some girls Want to grow up and be a pro softball player but they can’t because after college they are done playing that sport. Softball should also become a major national league because girls are capable of playing just like boys. For example, according to Mo’ne ,“ She is an American former Little League Baseball pitcher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, becoming the first female player to do so in the Little League postseason. Her fastball clocks in at 70 MPH, while her male opponents generally throw in the high 50s and low 60s.” This shows how Mone was the first American female who joined a baseball league pitching 70 miles per hour. Which shows how females are capable of pitching like her and they can also improve on becoming more better by releasing the ball at a faster rate than Mone.

What's the difference between softball and baseball?

-While softball players pitch underhand and from a level surface with the batter.

-Baseball players pitch overhand from a mound. These are just a couple of differences between the two sports.
